Oversized Autograph Display Piece. Consists of a 1956 White House TLS written from the Augusta National Golf Club (Mamie Doud Eisenhower’s “cabin”) Augusta, Georgia, to a prominent New York newspaper publisher; comments on the recent election and forwards a commemorative medal. Very boldly signed. Accompanied by a small SIG of the first lady in black fountain pen ink. Matted in a lovely hunter green suede board, along with a small color litho print of the couple. Encased in museum conservation glazing and a fine wood frame with an inner beaded panel. This is one of the nicest such presidential display pieces we have ever offered for sale. $650 |
